5 Best Katy Perry Songs

Katy Perry has announced she will be playing a FREE gig in Australia at Bright’s Pioneer Park on March 11th for the bushfire affected towns.

Katy spoke about how she can relate to the devastation bushfires can cause as she is from Southern California herself.

As this act of good nature, I only feel it is fair to give her some press and maybe introduce her to people who may not have heard of her or have never really listened to her music.

Let’s run down the 5 best Katy Perry songs.

  1. Teenage Dream

A very addictive song like most of Katy Perry’s back catalog.

Perfect vocals, catchy and a fantastic video.

Teenage Dream is a really fun upbeat song that we can all just have a dance to, even in 10 years time we will still be dancing to this song.

See you on the dancefloor.

  1. E.T.

This was a brave move by Katy to mix it up and try a kind of pop/electro/hip hop ballad and thankfully it worked amazingly because if she got it wrong she would’ve never lived it down.

E.T. featuring Kanye West ended up topping the charts and increasing Katy’s audience and credibility from just mainstream pop fans.

The versatility she shows is fantastic and this is definitely one of her best songs.

  1. I Kissed A Girl

The first song Katy Perry released and I remember talk at the time of this being a one-hit-wonder, she had previously had a flop under her real name.

The song itself is super simple, super catchy and really kick-started her to stardom.

A sexy song that is perfect for the summertime.

  1. Roar

This might be personally my favorite Katy Perry track but it might be her second-best song if that makes sense?

A chorus that is fit to be sung in stadiums around the world, no wonder this song was a huge hit for Katy’s 3rd album.

She changed her persona a little for this album and it really worked.

When Katy Perry wants to write an inspirational song she knows just what notes to play, she is fantastic at it.

  1. Firework

One of her greatest selling singles and rightfully so, this is a true anthem that you hear all the time on TV  now for feel-good stories, it is just so inspirational.

A beautiful catchy song, that has fantastic lyrics, vocals, and backing music.

Up there with one of the best pop songs of the last decade.
