The very first recording by Ghostfire. We used a studio called Jiggajam, located in rural Essex. Actually it was located on a farm which made for an all-round very pleasant experience surrounded by horses, cats and scary guard dogs.
Originally intended as a demo, designed to get us gigs, 'Drunk Lullabies' soon took on a life of its own - generating some exceptionally good reviews (which can be found in the reviews section of this site), and some serious attention from the US and UK steampunk communities.
While we never attempted to incorporate steampunk into our music (we honestly didn't even know of its existence when this EP was recorded), there was clearly enough in our sound and lyrical style to appeal to this merry band of neo-victorians and airship adventurers, resulting in gig offers from US steam-meisters Abney Park and a headline slot at the upcoming UK Steampunk Weekend in Lincoln this coming September..
